Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2014 Honda Accord- Video
Today on our 2014 Honda Accord, we're going to review an install, the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chain, Part Number PW1038. This will be on tire size P20560R16. These tire chains also make all 50 state DUT requirements making the perfect option to have in your vehicle for those emergency situations. We're going to start with our tire chain laid out here on the floor. Here on one end, we've got our cable notches for feeding the adjustable cable through and locking into position. Once it's fed through, any excess cable can then be held by the cable keeper. Here's a quick idea of what that's going to look like. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2014 Honda Odyssey- Video
Today on a 2014 Honda Odyssey we're going to install part number PW1046. This is the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains. We're working with a tire size of P235-65R-517. On taking a closer look here at construction you can see how the cross-cables connect to the cables that go around the tire. You have this nice little crimped cable connection that holds everything in place. This is also galvanized low-carbon steel so it resists snow and ice for a very long time. I've got these rollers here. These are spring rollers. more

Today on this 2014 Honda Odyssey we're going to install part number PW2016C. This is a Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains. It's a good idea to go ahead and get familiar with the snow tire chains before you actually need them, like we're doing here. Also, as for reference, we're working with tire size of P23565R by 17. Let's go ahead and take a quick look. First off, with the part number you get two chains and also, there's a left and a right hand side to them. We'll take a look at this one over here. more

Glacier Square-Link Snow Tire Chains Review - 2013 Honda Fit- Video
Today on this 2013 Honda Fit, we're going to do a test fit of part number PWPLC1126, from Glacier Chain. This is their square links snow tire chain. Today we're working with tire size of 185/55/R16. We'll lay our chain out. We'll make sure that when you install it over the top of the tire that the hook will be located on the outside. We'll drape it over the tire, keeping it as even as possible, and we'll take the end with the hook and tuck it in the front edge of the tire. more

All right, today on this 2011 Honda Fit were going to do a test fit of part number pw1034. This is Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains. The tire size were working with today is 205/50-R16. Well go ahead and start off our test fit by laying the chain out to make sure we have it oriented the way we want it on the tire. You also want to make sure that the cross cables have their attachment points or clamps facing away from the tire. Now we also want to make sure that the clips that hold the cables in place are ran towards the front of the car. more

To begin our test fit, we'll lay the chain flat out on the ground to undo any kinks or tangles. This will ensure that the tire chain will fit correctly around the tire. Now for today's demonstration, our vehicle is on a lift to show you the connection points in a little bit more detail. We'll now drape the tire chains over the tire, making sure they are centered and the hooks are facing out so that we don't damage the outer wall of the tire. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2013 Honda Fit- Video
Today on this 2013 Honda Fit, were going to test fit a part number PW1026, the Glacier Cable Snow Chain. Now, were working with the tire size of 185/55-16. This is also the design for passenger vehicles with a limited wheel well clearance also known as SAE class S tire chains. To start of our test fit well go ahead and lay the snow chain on top of the tire. Now, when we do that we want to make sure that the hooks wrap around from the inside to the outside so the edge of the hook is not towards the tire. Okay, well lay it out as evenly as possible across the tire and then well tuck it in below at the bottom of the tire. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2012 Honda CR-V PW1038- Video
Today we have a 2012 Honda CRV with 225/70-16 tires. Well be test fitting the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW1038. The first thing we need to do is layout our tire chain. We want to make sure that the hooks are facing outwards so that they dont bite into the tire. On the underside of the hook it should say tire side. This is the side that should make contact with our tires. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2012 Honda Odyssey PW1046- Video
Today on our 2012 Honda Odyssey with tire size P235/60R18, we'll be installing Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW1046. Now, these cable chains are perfect for the occasional use. They use a rugged steel wiring covered with case hardened steel rollers for traction. To begin the installation, we'll lay our chains out flat on the ground and make sure we get out any tangles that may be in the chains. We'll now lay our chains over the tire, making sure that the cross chains are centered on the tire tread. Now is a good time to check to make sure that you have your chain on correctly. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2012 Honda Civic- Video
Today on this 2007 Honda Civic, were going to be test fitting the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW1034. Our tire size is 205/55/16. Now because of the lower clearance on our vehicle, we want to make sure that we use S class-approved tire chains. Make sure to check the owners manual that came with your vehicle for more information about tire chain use. Well be installing the tire chains on our front wheels as these are the drive wheels. Well set the tire chain over the tire and pull it around evenly on both the inboard and outboard side of the tire. more
